This is the best bit I have bought for cutting holes in metal. Works in SS (310) and steel without issues. Seems to remain sharp through multiple cuts. I’m about 15 in on the blade, still like new.

This is the second size Blue Boar TCT Metal Pro hole cutter that I have purchased. These cutters do better than any others that I’ve tried. When I need to cut a different size hole in metal, I’ll buy my third Blue Boar.

I need to drill six 1″ holes through 1/4″ plate steel and this did the job perfectly. I took it kind of slow with plenty of oil and it held up well. Ready for more drilling if ever needed.
