Blue Boar worked great for making holes to install 6" LED recessed lighting in a plaster ceiling. Made installation easy. Lights fit inside the holes like a glove. Remember, this boar is built for cutting into plaster and sheetrock. If you need a boar for wood, look for the other type of boar specifically made for cutting into wood materials.

Used to cut holes in our ceiling for new recessed lighting. It worked like a charm - super clean holes. It does get dusty though, wear a mask if you don't have a dust shield.

I thought it was only drywall, but turns out I had to cut through drywall and plaster AND lath. All six came down with ease and I plan to use the same saw to cut more for the dining room and bedrooms.

Cut numerous 6" holes in drywall with this hole saw. All were perfect. Warning: Be sure to run your bit slowly. If you hit a joist or move the drill off axis so it binds this big hole saw, the drill will kick back hard enough to throw you off the ladder.
